ST37
ST37 sheet is made of low carbon alloy. You may ask what is the difference between parts made of low carbon alloys and other parts? The point here is that the weight percentage of carbon in a steel section is directly related to the weldability and some other mechanical properties of those sections. In other words, the lower the percentage of carbon in a steel section alloy, the higher its weldability.
Therefore, this type of board has better soldering ability compared to other hot boards. In addition, it produces more weight, a problem that is considered one of the disadvantages of ST37 plates.
ST52
The ST52 alloy plate is lighter than the previous plates. In addition, the plate is more resistant and stronger against tensile and shear stresses.
It is worth noting that ST52 sheet has more carbon than ST37 sheet. As a result, its weldability is lower than the previous sheet. 0.2% carbon, 55% silicon and 6% manganese have been used to make ST52 alloy. Manganese in the plate gives this inexpensive product elasticity, resistance to bending and load capacity.

HB:
The sheet has a scaly surface. In some cases, the cooling of the sheet changes its rectangular shape. This board is available in widths of 1200 and 1250 mm and its thickness is approximately 4 mm.
HC:
This plate is also available in thicknesses of 5 and 6 mm. The width of this sheet is also available in four qualities: 1300, 1350, 1400 and 1450.
Black plates or hot plates are products that are made by hot rolling and have larger dimensions and thickness than other steel plates, especially cold plates.
The plate is produced and supplied in various types including ST33, ST37, ST52, HB, HC. Each of these plates is made of a different alloy and has different chemical and mechanical properties.
Rolling in metalworking is the process of reducing the thickness of the workpiece or plate or changing the cross section of a material using the compressive force applied by rollers.
Due to the contact with the atmosphere, the surface of hot rolled products is opaque. That is why it is also called blackboard heating plate. Hot rolling requires proper temperature control to be successful. Raw materials must be heated to a uniform temperature.

The important thing about the temperature required for hot rolling is that the temperature must be evenly distributed over the surface of the steel to be rolled and its thickness should change uniformly.
Otherwise, the hotter parts will roll faster than the rest and will not get a uniform shape. In general, hot rolling is stopped when the temperature reaches 50-100°C above the crystallization temperature.

At temperatures above 930°C, where the recrystallization process takes place, due to the compression of the steel during rolling, the resulting steel crystals are first crushed and then interlocked, and sometimes contain impurity elements that reach the surface. .
